about us
At Blue Hour Project, we are committed to waking teenagers up to the reality of our situation. We want everyone to live up to their potential, and that's just not possible when a little glowing screen is taking up all the space in our lives. We're teenagers too. We get how hard it can be. That's why we're doing this.

our purpose
Since the first Apple iPhone made its appearance on the world stage in 2007, our lives have never been easier. Hungry? Order something from a takeout app. Tired? Play a song, an ASMR video, or some white noise. Bored? Scroll.
With everything we could ever need right at our fingertips, we've gotten lazy. We go to our phones to solve every problem we come across, whether it's a question typed on Google or a homework assignment plugged into an AI chatbot. Advancements are great. But we've stayed in place while the world around us moved forward.
We can't improve if we are glued to our phones. We can't see things with our own eyes. We can't focus. We spend too much time scrolling on TikTok and watching for likes on Instagram. We compare ourselves to the aesthetics we see online. We need to hit the pause button. We need to put our phones down.
Our devices are ruining us.
It's time to look up.

Kimberly Wang
Kimberly is a freshman in high school. When she's putting off doing her homework, she writes for fun or listens to K-Pop. About every other month she picks up another interest—from books to songs to movies— that she promptly begins to obsess over.
Alivia Woo
Alivia is a freshman at Conestoga High School. When she isn’t excitedly ranting about a new subject, she’s likely found crocheting or lost in a book. Currently, she’s working on a personal manuscript alongside the occasional gaming session.
Elizabeth Lu
Elizabeth is a freshman in high school. She likes to read.
